Mumbai - May 29, 2010: The
seminar on "Dangers of the Last Days" was organized by the KPCA at the Robinson Memorial Methodist
Central Church,
Byculla. It was attended by members from Methodist Churches
(Kanada congregation), Karnataka Church and the UBM Churches
of Mumbai.
Rev.
Philip Newbigging, the main speaker, based his messages on Matthew 24, which is
known as the Olivet Discourse of the Lord Jesus. He began by mentioning some of
the subtle dangers in the spirit world, which go unnoticed by the Christians, to
their peril if they are not rooted and built up in God’s Holy Word.
The
stone-henge (where black magic and witchcraft are practiced),
“vastu-shastra”, false teachings that contradict and/or distort the pure
teachings of the Bible, appearance of false teachers, false messiahs and
anti-Christs who manage to lead even the very elect of God astray by
counterfeit miracles and signs and wonders, wars and rumors of wars, etc.,
were highlighted as some of the subtle dangers of the “Last Days” we are now
living in.
